Accelerated awareness and strong early trust in Neutrogena’s innovation.
Background
Neutrogena partnered with Arwec to launch Retinol Boost, an innovative skincare range harnessing Pure Retinol, Myrtus Plant Extract, and Hyaluronic Acid. This advanced formulation is designed to prevent and correct multiple visible signs of early ageing, revealing youthful, healthy-looking skin.
The campaign needed to communicate the product’s pure retinol formula.
To achieve this, we developed a bold 360 campaign that spanned out-of-home (OOH), in-store and paid social, ensuring a consistent and engaging brand presence at every touchpoint.
Challenge
One of the primary challenges was translating complex skincare science into visually compelling content that remained accessible and engaging.
Retinol Boost’s advanced formula needed to be both educational and aspirational.
Avoiding an overly clinical tone while still reinforcing Neutrogena’s scientific credibility was essential. At the same time, the campaign had to remain consistent across multiple channels, from large-scale OOH placements to paid social and organic content.
Each asset had to be adaptable to different formats and markets without losing its impact.
Solution
To bring the “New Science. New You.” concept to life, we developed a 360 campaign that blended educational content with aspirational yet relatable imagery capturing authentic, everyday beauty.
Our approach demystified the science behind Retinol Boost.
By showcasing its transformative benefits through detailed CGI animations, we highlighted the MOAs (modes of action) of its key ingredients. We then integrated on-location and in-studio video and photography to create a narrative that balanced technical precision with a human touch.
Thoughtful art direction unified every aspect of the project, from set design and lighting to styling and casting, ensuring a cohesive brand presence across out-of-home, in-store, and digital channels. A carefully selected, diverse cast showcased authenticity and diversity, while resonating with Neutrogena’s target audience.
The result was a bold, multi-platform campaign that made Retinol Boost both accessible and inspiring, reinforcing Neutrogena’s leadership in skincare innovation.
